Julian Construction Urges L.A. Homeowners to Get Foundation Inspection After Big Rains

Company Urges Homeowners to Get an Inspection to See If Poor Drainage May Be Damaging Their Home Foundation

LOS ANGELES: Julian Construction (www.julianconstruction.com), a construction company in the Los Angeles area that specializes in foundation repair, is urging LA area homeowners to get a foundation inspection for their homes after the record breaking rains that have been dumped on the Southland over the last week.

Julian Construction founder Julian De La Torre stated “Over the last week we have seen rains like we rarely ever see in Los Angeles. As we dry out after the deluge, we should think about a part of our homes that can be adversely affected by water – namely our home foundations. Poorly designed water drainage can cause damage to a home foundation or cause settling of the ground underneath the foundation. A foundation inspection can identify if there is any problems, and also see if there are any measures needed to protect your home against the next earthquake that will hit Los Angeles. So after big rains like we just had, it’s a great idea to get that home foundation inspected. Since your home is probably your biggest investment, it makes good sense to protect it.”

Julian De La Torre has been doing earthquake retrofitting since the early 1990s and has personally worked on over 6,600 homes in Southern California. With this unmatched experience in the substructure areas of a home, Julian formed Julian Construction in 2001 with the goal of making safer homes, apartments and commercial properties throughout Southern California.

His partner Shawn Kyles has inspected over 15,000 structures, working with both engineering firms and local departments of building and safety, and is an expert in foundation repair and house bolting. Julian Construction owns its own company and is built on a “no middlemen” model - no salesmen, no subcontractors. When you work with Julian Construction you get the principals of the company and workers of Julian Construction under your home.  The result is the highest quality work at affordable prices. They can be contacted by phone at 323 733-3377, by fax at 323 733-4477 or via their website, www.julianconstruction.com.

  1. Water has a greater chance of weakening your foundations with cracks. Foundation inspection after a big rain is important so we could repair cracked foundation on its onset.

not sufficient people are speaking intelligently about. I am very joyful that I stumbled across this in my seek for something referring to this.
